American Legion and New York Detachment sponsored scholarships
Dear Members,
According to the Sons of the American Legion Detachment of New York's Detachment Manual, there are 7 scholarships that are awarded annually. These are presented to graduating high school seniors and those attending college that are members of the Sons of the American Legion.
The Cerullo Memorial Scholarship - $500 Scholarship (four awarded annually)
The Lt. Michael L. Lewis, Jr Memorial Fund - $1000 Scholarship (two awarded annually)
William P. O'Connell Memorial Veterans Rehabilitation Scholarship - $1000 Scholarship (one awarded annually)
All interested SAL members should contact us for additional rules, eligibility requirements, application process, and each scholarship's due dates.

Certifcate presented to SAL Squadron 1291
This certificate was presented to the Squadron by the National Sons of the American Legion and was accepted by our New York Detachment Vice Commander John Chang recently.
