Our Vice Commander Alex attended Boys' State 2012

Our Vice Commander Alex attended the American Legion Boys' State at SUNY Morrisville, NY in June 2012. After speaking to him briefly upon his return, he recommends all eligible highschool juniors to participate in this program next year. After 5 days at Boys' State, he has acquired new knowledge about government functions as well as basic training by the Marines. "It was definitely educational but some parts were challenging... Annual Picnic

Lt. B.R. Kimlau Chinese Memorial Post 1291 is hosting its annual picnic.
This year the picnic will be at Bethpage State Park located at 99 Quaker Meeting House Road, Farmingdale, NY 11735 on
Saturday July 28, 2012 from 9A.M. to 5P.M.
Tickets will cost $10/person (maximum 5 tickets per member) which includes bus ride (bus leaves promptly at 9A.M.) and lunch.
If you prefer to drive yourself, tickets will cost only $5/person which includes lunch only (you must pay for parking fee at the park).
Tickets sales begin TODAY July 2, 2012 to Sunday July 15, 2012 between the hours of 2P.M. and 4 P.M. at the Post Headquarter.
Some of the activites include: volleyball, badminton, mah-jong, sky-nine, tug-of-war, etc....
