Please join us, the American Legion Family on SATURDAY, MAY 19, 2018, 1 PM at the Post's 2nd floor Chairman Peter Woo Auditorium for a book signing and presentation. Victoria Moy author of the book: Fighting for the Dream: Voices of Chinese American Veterans from World War II to Afghanistan!! Author Victoria Moy will present to discuss how the book came about and the work she did to collect fourty Chinese American VETERANS in their 20s to 90s to talk about about battles and triumphs before, during, and after war. Members of the books' subjects (many featured in the book) will be on hand to personally discuss their stories and available to autograph copies of the book that will be available for purchase on this day at the event!
The SAL Squadron 1291 will be participating at the P.S. 130 M FAMILY DAY Street Fair on SATURDAY, MAY 5, 2018, 11 AM to 3 PM, located at Hester Street, between Baxter and Mulberry Streets, NYC! Members of the SAL will be distributing patriotic education materials to the young people to promote Americanism! Come down and participate on this fun event and day!
On Monday, May 28, 2018, the Post will be having its Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony in Chinatown, NYC! March-off to Kimlau Square will be 12:30 pm. Squadron caps and proper attire is requested. Participating members will be provided with lunch!
The Installation Ceremony and Banquet for the Post's Legion Year 2018-2019 Officers will be held on Sat., June 2, 2018. Tickets will be required. More information to come...
