Flag Day June 14, 2019
SAL Squadron 1291 will be distributing UNITED STATES flags to P.S. 130 M elementary school age children to PROMOTE AMERICANISM!
Post Installation Ceremony and Banquet June 1, 2019
All new officers will be meeting earlier that day for a briefing and photos and are require to attend the swearing in ceremonies, scheduled later at 4 pm at the Post's Chairman Peter Woo Auditorium; follow by the annual banquet at Jing Form Restaurant at 6 pm. Tickets are required at a cost of $15 per ticket - max 2 tickets each. Tickets distribution by the Post's Chinese Secretary from Monday, May 6, 2019 to Sunday, May 19, 2019 (2 to 4 pm daily). Note: additional tickets can be purchased beginning May 13, 2019 for $35 each pending approval by the Legionaries in their meeting.
Memorial Day Parade May 27, 2019
All members are encourage to participate and should sign-up prior to 12 Noon that day to assemble at the corner of Mott and Canal Streets for the march-off on or about 12:30 pm. Lunch will be served at the Delight 28 Restaurant, 28 Pell Street at 2 pm. Standard uniform consisting of Jacket and tie, Squadron caps, shoes - no sneakers, is required! PS: We need SAL members to transport the AUDIO equipment from the Post to KIMLAU SQUARE - at approximately 11:30 am - Please RSVP to help and details of your assignments!
Street Fair May 4, 2019
SAL Squadron 1291 will participate at the P.S. 130 M FAMILY DAY Street Fair on SATURDAY, MAY 4, 2019, from 11 am to 3 pm, located at Hester Street, between Baxter and Mulberry Streets!
We will be distributing patriotic educational materials to the young people to PROMOTE AMERICANISM!

The Post's Annual Christmas Holiday Luncheon will be held on Sunday December 16, 2018 at the Post's Auditorium from 1 PM to 3 PM.

The Post's Annual Thanksgiving luncheon will be held on Sunday November 18, 2018 at the Post's Auditorium from 1 PM to 3 PM.
NYC Veterans' Day Parade 5th Avenue
NYC Veterans' Day Parade on 5th Avenue will begin at 12 Noon on Sunday November 11, 2018 from 23rd Street to 59th Street.
2018 Veterans' Day Parade Chinatown
NYC Chinatown's VETERANS' DAY parade will be on Saturday November 10, 2018. Please sign in before 12 noon and we will be marching off at 12:30 PM.

Annual September 11th Candlelight Vigil Memorial Ceremonies
Please join the American Legion Family (Legion, Auxiliary, SAL) in its Annual September 11th Candlelight Vigil Memorial Ceremonies on Sept. 11! Event starts at 7PM, report to Post at 2PM. The American Legion Department of New York Commander will be here in NYC and will be joining us for this occasion.
Kung Fu school's 36th Anniversary Celebration
The Post's Commander, Tony Chuy, has invited the American Legion Family to his Kung Fu School's 36th Anniversary on September 22, 2018 at Downtown Yummy Restaurant, 39 East Broadway, 2nd Floor, NYC. Tickets for this event is $65 pp/ $600/table. Please RSVP to H. Moy if you would like to buy tickets.

September 8, 2018- The Post's American Legion family will be conducting a clean up of the Kimlau Square, Chinatown NYC. We need everyone's to assist. Report time is schedule for 8:00 AM.

Please join us, the American Legion Family on SATURDAY, MAY 19, 2018, 1 PM at the Post's 2nd floor Chairman Peter Woo Auditorium for a book signing and presentation. Victoria Moy author of the book: Fighting for the Dream: Voices of Chinese American Veterans from World War II to Afghanistan!! Author Victoria Moy will present to discuss how the book came about and the work she did to collect fourty Chinese American VETERANS in their 20s to 90s to talk about about battles and triumphs before, during, and after war. Members of the books' subjects (many featured in the book) will be on hand to personally discuss their stories and available to autograph copies of the book that will be available for purchase on this day at the event!

On Monday, May 28, 2018, the Post will be having its Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony in Chinatown, NYC! March-off to Kimlau Square will be 12:30 pm. Squadron caps and proper attire is requested. Participating members will be provided with lunch!
